We're building a growth team where strong creative drives real results, and this role sits at the center of it.

We're looking for a full-time Video Editor based in New York City (or the surrounding area) who brings the same care to raw UGC as to higher-end cuts, celebrity partnerships, and polished brand work. You understand what makes creative perform on both paid and organic social, with a strong grasp of the hooks, pacing, and storytelling that drive views, retention, and engagement on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. You care about craft without being precious about the format, and you know that great performance creative requires speed, iteration, and volume. Agency experience is a strong plus.

YOU'RE THE RIGHT PERSON IF YOU:

• Understand performance marketing deeply and know how editing choices can impact hooks, retention, watch time, click-through, and conversion

• Can move seamlessly between UGC, creator content, patient stories, dermatologist content, and polished hi-fi footage

• Understand organic social and what makes brand content earn views on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube

• Stay scrappy, move quickly, take feedback well, and are comfortable iterating on multiple versions of a concept

• Have strong creative instincts beyond the timeline — you understand messaging, storytelling, visual hierarchy, sound design, pacing, and platform-native trends

• Are curious about AI and actively use new tools to expand what you can create and speed up your workflow

WHAT YOU'LL DO

PERFORMANCE & PAID SOCIAL EDITING

• Edit performance marketing creative for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other paid channels, with a strong focus on hooks, pacing, retention, clarity, and conversion

• Turn UGC from paid creator partnerships, patients, and dermatology partners into high-performing ads that feel native rather than overly produced

• Build multiple versions, hooks, and iterations from the same source footage + b-roll to support rapid creative testing

• Work from creative briefs while bringing your own editorial point of view to strengthen the final execution

• Use performance learnings and feedback from the growth team to continuously improve future edits

ORGANIC SOCIAL

• Edit organic video content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, balancing brand consistency with native pacing and storytelling

• Understand how organic creative differs from paid creative and make editorial decisions that support virality, retention, shares, saves, and engagement

• Stay current on social editing styles, formats, trends, hooks, sounds, and emerging platform behaviors without chasing trends that don't fit the brand

HI-FI & BRAND CONTENT

• Edit footage captured by our videographer into polished, premium content used across paid ads, organic channels, brand storytelling, and celebrity partnerships

• Confidently handle higher-end post-production, including multicam or interview edits, color, audio, and sound design

• Maintain a consistent Honeydew look and feel while adapting the edit to the specific channel, audience, and objective

• Be equally comfortable making a creator video feel native and making a high-production shoot feel elevated

MOTION, ANIMATION & AI

• Create motion graphics and lightweight animation as needed, ideally in Adobe After Effects or similar tools

• Use AI tools strategically to achieve animation, visual effects, asset generation, or workflow efficiencies that would otherwise slow down production

• Have experience crafting ads with Higgsfield and understand how AI-generated video can be incorporated into a professional editing workflow

• Stay current on emerging AI editing and generative video tools, and proactively identify where they can improve creative quality or speed without becoming a gimmick

WORKFLOW & COLLABORATION

• Work primarily in Adobe, with strong proficiency in Premiere Pro and comfort moving between Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and other Adobe tools as needed

• Collaborate closely with the Manager of Creative and growth team, whether that’s contributing ideas in brainstorms or receiving feedback across shared projects

• Receive and execute against creative briefs while also flagging opportunities to make the creative stronger

• Manage projects, source footage, versions, exports, and archives cleanly in a fast-moving environment

• Ideally be familiar with Frame.io http://Frame.io and Suite Studios file-sharing system, or be comfortable quickly learning new review and asset-management workflows

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

• 4+ years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio spanning performance creative, UGC, and polished brand content

• Deep understanding of performance marketing creative and how to edit ads for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube

• Strong understanding of organic Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube creative and the factors that drive attention and engagement

• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro

• Experience editing both short-form UGC/social content and higher-end hi-fi footage

• Strong command of pacing, storytelling, and sound design

• Comfort working quickly, managing multiple projects at once, and iterating based on creative feedback and performance learnings

• Based in New York City or the surrounding area

NICE TO HAVE

• Previous experience editing at a creative, performance marketing, or advertising agency

• Motion graphics or animation skills in Adobe After Effects or similar

• Hands-on experience with Higgsfield and other AI video or editing tools

• Experience editing for skincare, beauty, dermatology, healthcare, wellness, or other medical-related brands

• Experience editing celebrity, creator, patient, or expert-led partnerships

• Salary: $85,000–$100,000 based on experience

LOCATION

This is a full-time, U.S.-based role, with a preference for candidates in the New York City area, though remote candidates are welcome. NYC-based team members follow a hybrid schedule, working from our office 2–3 days per week.
