Responsibilities
- Lead Operations (finance, HR, IT, grants, data, risk); set priorities and supervise/develop the Controller, Operations and HR Manager, and Grants Manager.
- Translate strategic and implementation plans into timelines, owners, and measurable results; coordinate departments, growth, staffing, and Senior Leadership Team meetings.
- Personally improve processes, systems, and project tools; maintain the organizational scorecard, track performance, and report to leadership and Board.
- Coach managers, strengthen supervision and accountability; support workforce and succession planning, complex employee matters, and CCALT’s RISE principles.
- Lead technology strategy, automation and AI; administer accounts, access, licenses, hardware, budgets and new-hire setup; provide staff IT support and coordinate vendors, cybersecurity, backups and continuity.
- Support the Controller with accounting, payroll, budgets, forecasts, audits, and grant finances; keep CEO informed of financial developments. Oversee grant deadlines, restrictions, reporting, and compliance.
- Lead risk assessments, insurance renewals/certificates, and reviews of policies and contracts; support nonprofit, employment, and Land Trust Alliance compliance. Oversee leases, facilities, vehicles, timekeeping, expenses, and CEO/Board updates.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s required (advanced preferred); leadership and cross-functional operations experience; strong communication, project, analytical, tech, and risk skills; hands-on execution. Driver’s license, ability to travel, and a background check required.
Position Details
Full-time; exempt; reports to CEO. Direct reports: Controller, Operations and HR Manager, Grants Manager. Lakewood hybrid (3+ office days/week). Early 2027 start, flexible. $100,000–$115,000/year, based on experience.
