Job Title: Museum Educator - Part-Time

Job Location: Akron Children’s Museum – Education Department

Reports To: Manager of Education

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

Work Hours: 10 - 25 hours per week

Pay: $18/hour

Work Schedule: Monday and Tuesday, 8:45am-1:45pm through the school year. There is also opportunity for additional shifts monthly. During the summer, weekday hours increase due to summer camps. There are also multiple opportunities for special event hours and programs as needed.

As a gathering place for children and families, where play inspires exploration, discovery, and problem solving, the Akron Children’s Museum’s educational programs are designed to support and inspire a desire for lifelong learning!

Position:

Museum Educator- This position is primarily responsible for delivering PreK - Grade 3 programming with an emphasis on STEAM and Inquiry Based Learning. There are additional opportunities to assist with other museum programming for K-8 students, including but not limited to summer camps, special events, weekend public programming, and community outreach events.
