Job Title: Virtual Arkansas Proctor

Reports To: LAA/ALE Core/MS Principal

Contract Length: 180 Days (Contract length for the 2026-2027 school year will be based on first day of employment)

Job Summary: The Virtual Arkansas Assessment Proctor is responsible for the observation and monitoring
of student assessments. Observation and monitoring occurs over a computer and external monitor
provided by Virtual Arkansas and utilizes video software. The duty day will be no more than 8 hours, including a 30-minute lunch break. The duty day will be 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
The Virtual Arkansas proctors are trained by Virtual Arkansas
staff and must follow established procedures, practices, and protocols for effective monitoring of student
assessments. Assessment proctors must be adept in the use of computers and technology.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

● None

Duties/Responsibilities:

● Follow testing procedures and protocol to ensure that the test is administered properly and fairly

● Monitor test takers to ensure they are following testing rules and regulations

● Report testing discrepancies, concerns, and violations to the appropriate school personnel

● Explain the rules and procedures to test takers before administering tests

● Ensuring that any resources used during testing by test takers are authorized

● Maintaining security of the testing area to prevent cheating or other forms of misconduct

● Provide basic technology support to test takers and follow established protocols to resolve technical
issues

● Maintain a log of test takers

● Other duties as assigned

● Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms

● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

● Ability to prioritize tasks

● Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

● Desire and ability to learn and adapt to new and emerging technologies

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

● Paraprofessional certification/endorsement preferred

● Associate’s degree or above preferred

● Basic technology and computer use skills

Physical Requirements:

● Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

● Periodic travel requirements

● Sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch

● Use hands to handle or feel, type, and pick up objects, and reach with hands and arms ● Speak and hear to communicate effectively

● Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
