About the job

The Director of Public Policy leads Disability Justice’s work to educate policymakers to advance the rights of people with disabilities. The Director works closely with Disability Justice’s legal and advocacy teams to identify systemic policy changes.
The Director analyzes and assesses legislative and regulatory policies and proposals to determine their potential impact on people with disabilities
and educates policymakers, community partners, and the public accordingly.

The position reports directly to the Executive Director.
This is a supervisory position.

Work Environment

This role requires regular in-person work at the Colorado State Capitol, state agencies, and community locations, as well as occasional evening or non-standard hours during legislative sessions. The Director is expected to maintain availability during critical periods of the legislative session and provide leadership to the policy team as priorities and legislative developments evolve.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position. The salary range is $90,000-95,000 annually, depending on experience.
