Location: Houston, TX
Start Date: Immediate Schedule: Monday–Friday | Field-Based
Travel: 100% Field Travel In Car (Daily) (Company owned vehicle provided)
Territory: Houston and surrounding areas (typically within a 2-hour radius)

SSA Steriquip is seeking a Senior Equipment Service Technician to service critical medical equipment used in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. This is a fully field-based role where you'll troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install sterilization and infection prevention equipment that healthcare providers rely on every day.

No two days are the same, this is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience working with medical equipment looking for a growth opportunity with more responsibility, and as a path toward a future leadership role.

This is a safety-sensitive position.

What You'll Service

• Steam Sterilizers

• Washer Disinfectors

• Cart Washers

• Ultrasonic Cleaners

• Steam Generators

• Mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic medical equipment

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain sterilization and infection prevention equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance, warranty repairs, installations, and equipment upgrades.

• Collaborate with Technical Support, Engineering, and Service Management to resolve complex issues.

• Document service work using mobile technology and service management software.

• Build strong customer relationships while delivering exceptional service.

• Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and support company growth.

• Travel throughout your assigned territory to support customer needs.

Training & Development

• Comprehensive hands-on training
• Training will involve extra travel to the Austin region

• 3-6 month structured ramp-up

• Ride-alongs and shadowing with experienced technicians

• Ongoing technical and professional development

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED

• Four (4)+ years of professional work experience, including at least two (2) years of experience working on medical sterilization or infection prevention equipment.

• Associate degree, technical certifications, OEM training, or military technical experience may substitute for some experience

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

• Ability to meet hospital credentialing, background check, and physical assessment requirements

• Basic computer proficiency, including Windows, email, mobile apps, and data entry

• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, early mornings, evenings, or overnight travel as business needs require
