About the job

Our client is America’s largest faith-based charity dedicated to fighting poverty and serving vulnerable communities across New York City . Operating as an essential pillar in the regional social services infrastructure, the agency delivers comprehensive, high-impact relief with compassion, integrity, and respect to over 325,000 clients annually while advocating tirelessly for all New Yorkers in need . The organization's extensive operational footprint includes 100% affordable housing across 21 locations, the largest free food distribution program of its kind in the world, comprehensive family violence intervention services, Holocaust survivor support, geriatric social work, and crisis intervention . With an integrated neighborhood network spanning more than 100 localized distribution sites, community partner hubs, and housing developments, the organization blends grassroots community engagement with disciplined, high-scale operational stability to sustain vital social safety nets throughout the five boroughs .

Reporting in direct partnership with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Controller, and Director of Grants and Budgeting, the Director of Fiscal Operations serves as a central driver of coordination, project management, and execution across the agency's fiscal ecosystem . Designed for an experienced nonprofit financial leader, this strategic operational role ensures that all grant accounting, contracts, capital grants, and related fiscal workflows remain aligned, tightly controlled, and executed on schedule .
