About the job

A premier licensed Adult Home and Assisted Living Program (ALP) facility located in the scenic beachfront community of Rockaway Park in Queens, New York , this establishment provides a warm, compassionate "home away from home" for adults seeking supportive living. With a capacity of approximately 172 beds—including a dedicated ALP section—it offers personalized care in a comfortable, well-maintained four-story building right off the boardwalk. The focus is on fostering a diverse, engaging resident community through daily recreational programs, holiday celebrations, three nutritious hot meals plus snacks served in a spacious dining room, housekeeping, laundry services, and a full range of personal, medical, and nursing support to promote independence, well-being, and belonging. The hand-selected team is dedicated to delivering exceptional, resident-centered care with the utmost compassion, emphasizing comfort, community connection, and high standards of service in a supportive environment.

The Administrator serves as the chief executive leader of the facility, overseeing all aspects of daily operations, regulatory compliance, resident care quality, and financial performance. This hands-on leadership role ensures the organization meets or exceeds New York State Department of Health (DOH) standards for Adult Homes and ALP facilities while driving operational excellence, staff development, census growth, and a positive culture that prioritizes resident satisfaction and retention. The Administrator acts as the primary point of contact with regulatory bodies, leads the management team, and champions continuous improvement to maintain a safe, welcoming, and high-performing environment.
