Overview
The Director CEO Engagement – Small/Midsize Y leader is responsible for the support, engagement and communication with local CEO’s and their assigned affiliate networks. As a representative of the national office, this position provides strategic support that ensures alignment and partnership across the Service Delivery Continuum. Alignment with YUSA's vision, philosophy and positioning is imperative to success in this role. Building strong relationships with local CEO’s is a key part of this role and requires frequent in-person visits, up to 60% travel.
The Network Experience Team fosters a culture of service across the YMCA network by operating in deep partnership with local Ys. The team develops and activates timely, relevant resources; designs and delivers high-quality experiences for YMCA leaders; facilitates innovation to ensure continued relevance; and drives national positioning that strengthens the YMCA’s credibility within the industry. Grounded in a customer-experience mindset and powered by leading practices and the Y-USA service delivery system, the team connects strategy to execution in service of local Ys. Through this work, the Network Experience Team advances organizational excellence and supports the Y’s core purpose—creating experiences of achievement, relationship, and belonging that build stronger, more connected communities.
Responsibilities
- Drive to deliver strategic support and solutions to assigned portfolio of Ys related to real time opportunities. Bring resources, credibility, and timely engagement to improve trust and strengthen relationships between CEOs and YUSA
- Engage service delivery to provide specialized consulting services that will systematically identify and focus on financial assessments, operational assessments,executive transitions, collaborations, shared services, management agreements,mergers, strategy, and planning
- Collaborate with affiliate networks to ensure coordination and strategic alignmentaround collective goals that advance network priorities and outcomes
- Implement processes to enhance and increase communication across the Y network,focused on CEO and C-Suite leaders – Cohorts, Peer Communities, Alliances,Learning Centers, etc.
- Partner across Y-USA to identify and support CEO’s needs related to ExecutiveLearning Series opportunities for Affiliate and Affinity networks
- Serve as a convener around specialized topics, emerging trends, and shared concerns
- Lead with curiosity and bring customized and timely solutions
- Cultivate CEO relationships through problem solving, trust building, and value-addedengagements
- Establish effective partnerships and working relationships across Affiliate Networks, Alliances, and Y-USA departments to achieve overall objectives and strategic goals
Qualifications
A successful candidate will possess a majority of the following professional and personal attributes and competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required in a relevant field such as Business, or related disciplines required. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 8-12 years of experience required
- Expert functional skills, advanced industry knowledge and experience, advancedmanagerial skills
- Manages multiple teams or functions
- Strategic and operational decision-making authority
- Highly complex tasks and managerial tasks
- Minimal supervision

Posted Salary Range
USD $144,000.00 - USD $177,000.00 /Yr.
