About the Opportunity
Are you a creative, strategic marketing leader who knows how to bring a brand to life and turn compelling storytelling into measurable results? This is an opportunity to shape the marketing vision for a standout lifestyle hotel, leading the charge through pre-opening, relaunch, and beyond.
The Director of Marketing will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive property-level marketing strategy designed to build awareness, drive revenue, strengthen market position, and create meaningful connections with guests and the local community. From digital campaigns and social media to public relations, strategic partnerships, and on-property experiences, this role will help define how the property is experienced, discovered, and remembered.
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this hands-on leadership position works closely with hotel operations, Food & Beverage, sales, revenue management, corporate partners, ownership, and external agencies to bring the property’s vision to life. Success requires a proactive, collaborative leader who anticipates business needs, embraces innovation, and translates creative ideas into effective marketing strategies. Strong Food & Beverage marketing experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Leadership
- Develop and execute the annual property-level marketing plan, including pre-opening, relaunch, and reopening strategies that build brand awareness, generate demand, and drive revenue and market share.
- Align marketing initiatives with property performance goals across all business segments, partnering with Sales, Revenue Management, Food & Beverage, and Operations to maximize impact.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership, corporate teams, ownership, and external partners to ensure marketing strategies support business priorities and brand objectives.
- Lead and manage branding, digital marketing, CRM, and public relations agencies, ensuring deliverables meet established goals, timelines, and ownership expectations.
- Take a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to identifying opportunities, addressing gaps, and continuously evolving marketing strategies.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Lead integrated digital marketing campaigns across paid media, SEO/SEM, social advertising, and other relevant channels, using performance data to optimize results and return on investment.
- Oversee property websites, CRM platforms, analytics, and digital content to strengthen the customer journey, increase engagement, and drive conversions.
- Develop and execute social media strategies, content calendars, and storytelling initiatives across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
- Leverage analytics, AI-driven marketing tools, emerging technologies, and industry trends to identify new opportunities and keep the property competitive in an evolving digital landscape.
- Monitor campaign performance and use insights to refine targeting, messaging, and channel strategy.
Brand Development, Partnerships & Experiences
- Establish and maintain a compelling, consistent brand identity across all marketing channels and guest touchpoints.
- Develop strategic partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, tourism boards, lifestyle brands, and global travel networks to expand reach and strengthen brand reputation.
- Partner with culinary, events, and operations teams to showcase signature dining experiences, on-property activations, seasonal programming, and lifestyle offerings.
- Translate the property’s unique character, experiences, and offerings into engaging campaigns that resonate with hotel guests, local patrons, and destination visitors.
- Build local awareness and consumer preference through creative programming, promotional opportunities, and collaborative marketing initiatives.
Public Relations & Media Relations
- Manage public relations agency partnerships and drive proactive media outreach, story development, press opportunities, and media visits.
- Oversee press materials, media itineraries, influencer collaborations, and other initiatives that elevate the property’s visibility and reputation.
- Identify compelling stories and experiences that position the property within the local market and broader lifestyle and travel landscape.
- Track media coverage, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and communicate results and opportunities to ownership and property leadership.
Performance Measurement & Reporting
- Consolidate insights from internal systems, agency partners, and marketing platforms to evaluate performance and inform future strategy.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including website traffic, return on advertising spend (ROAS), engagement, audience growth, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness.
- Prepare and share performance reporting with property leadership and ownership, translating data into actionable recommendations.
- Ensure marketing investments and initiatives remain aligned with business objectives, market opportunities, and revenue goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in hotel marketing, digital marketing, luxury hospitality, or lifestyle brand management.
- Demonstrated success leading pre-opening, reopening, relaunch, or rebranding marketing initiatives.
- Experience working with lifestyle hotels and developing marketing strategies that differentiate a property within a competitive market.
- Strong knowledge of the Atlanta market, local audiences, lifestyle trends, and opportunities for community engagement.
- Proven ability to manage multiple marketing, digital, branding, and public relations agency relationships.
- Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, public relations, and traditional channels.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite, with an understanding of website analytics, CRM platforms, and digital performance reporting.
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, and content development skills, with a working knowledge of basic HTML.
- Ability to translate creative concepts and data-driven insights into effective marketing strategies that deliver measurable results.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders across property, corporate, and ownership teams.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and delivering results.
