As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. You will analyze financial data, investigate discrepancies, support financial reporting, and collaborate with colleagues across hotel departments to ensure compliance with established accounting procedures and internal controls. Job Overview

As a General Accountant at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, you join a team that treats every interaction as an opportunity to create lasting memories. More specifically, the work involves supporting the executive and operational backbone of our hotel. The General Accountant maintains the property’s, Accounts Receivable and will assist with Income Audit, Accounts Payable, Payroll System, and General Cashier functions in a timely, accurate manner in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. Sort documents and post debits/credits to proper accounts. The General Accountant ultimately ensures that every guest feels treasured, valued, and genuinely cared for during their stay with us.
