The Opportunity
We are seeking a hardworking, inquisitive, and collaborative attorney to provide exceptional legal support to the Adobe Customer Experience Orchestration business, including Adobe CX Enterprise Coworker. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who will build positive relationships with key stakeholders, partner with the business to identify and mitigate potential risks, and look for ways to optimize how we support the business. Additionally, this candidate will focus on counseling on a wide range of legal topics, including AI/GenAI/agentic AI technologies. This full-time position will be based in the United States in either our Lehi, Utah, New York, NY, San Francisco, CA, or San Jose, CA-based location.
- What you'll Do
- Collaborate with internal business partners - including business strategy, operations, and pricing - on the review of Adobe products, services, and initiatives to assess legal compliance and provide practical advice.
- Support and build positive relationships with product development, product management, product marketing, and engineering teams while advising on legal and business issues through all stages of development and marketing, from concept to launch.
- Collaborate with legal team subject matters leads, including privacy, enterprise sales legal, AI ethics, and intellectual property attorneys to analyze legal risks and support the business.
- Draft, negotiate, and support a wide variety of agreements, including inbound and outbound technology licenses, product documentation, and partnership agreements.
- Develop and deliver guidance and trainings to various internal groups, including engineering, program management, product, and sales legal.
- Work closely with management to ensure successful prioritization and understanding of the role.
- What you need to succeed
- J.D. from an accredited law school and necessary bar membership.
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience with, and curiosity about, privacy. CIPP/US and/or AIGP certification a plus.
- Intellectual curiosity and/or knowledge about the emerging regulatory developments affecting AI.
- Proficient at drafting and negotiating agreements.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfort providing legal and practical advice to business management of multiple levels, including an innate ability to provide such advice in a non-disruptive manner.
- Technical background in software products and development, SaaS, or cloud-based services industry; experience with marketing tools a plus.
- Desire to take on greater responsibilities as skills improve.
- Ability to successfully prioritize projects, with guidance from management.
- Proven track record of forming and growing professional relationships in various parts of the business.
- A bias for sharing relevant information across the business teams, within Adobe’s legal department, and with peers across the CXO product legal team.
- Ability to exercise common sense, be a creative problem solver and have good business instincts.
- Flexibility to work with colleagues, clients, and customers in time zones other than where the position is based.
- A desire to support, help develop, and instill confidence in other team members.
- Expected Pay Range:
- Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. In California and New York, the pay range for this position is $159,300 - $254,500.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $126,700 - $230,700 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $159,300 - $230,700
In New York, the pay range for this position is $159,300 - $230,700
