Clinical Simulation Specialist

The Clinical Simulation Specialist is a staff member on the Simulation Center team at the Vanderbilt School of Nursing (VUSN) and provides essential support for healthcare simulation operations for Master of Nursing (MN), Post-Master’s Certificate and Master of Science in Nursing students. Reporting directly to the Assistant Dean for Simulation and Experiential Learning, the Clinical Simulation Specialist works collaboratively with team members to facilitate prebriefing and debriefing that ensure successful learning experiences.

▪ Operating and evaluating simulation and skills lab experiences
▪ Set up, programming, moulage, and breakdown
▪ Supplies and equipment inventory and maintenance
▪ Providing technical and audio/visual support for simulation operations
▪ Enforcing policies and safety procedures
▪ Designing simulation and skills experiences in partnership with clinical experts
▪ This is a regular, fully in-person position working 30-40 hours per week
