Manages the quality of inspections and repairs of both rail cars and locomotives for defects and unsafe conditions within a Mechanical terminal and on the line of road. Ensures work is performed safely according to CSX Transportation (CSXT) safety rules and is compliant with Association of American Railroads (AAR) standards and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations. Effectively manages best practices in safety, quality, and production. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement within assigned area of responsibility. Serves a primary role in operational budgeting. Manages conflict resolution cross-functionally. Develops and coaches both managers and union employees
