Senior IT Infrastructure, Networking and Systems

About the job

• About the role
• As a Senior IT Infrastructure specialist at Mytra, you will join our Corporate IT team during a period of rapid scaling. Our team is currently focused on building resilient, secure, and scalable networking, systems, and physical security infrastructure to support a fast-growing office, lab, and manufacturing environment, and we need a hands-on, technically deep specialist to help us design, harden, and operate the backbone that everything else at Mytra runs on.
• What you’ll do:
• Own the design and deployment of Mytra's core network (LAN/WLAN, switching, routing, firewalls, VPN, and ISP relationships) across our HQ, lab, and manufacturing spaces.
• Own systems infrastructure, including identity and directory services, backup and recovery (Druva), and cloud/DNS architecture.
• Own the physical security backbone, including badging and access control, camera and surveillance systems (Verkada), and the network and infrastructure that underpin them.
• Lead infrastructure projects from requirements through vendor evaluation, procurement, and implementation, including capacity planning and buildouts for new spaces and headcount growth.
• Design for reliability and resilience through redundancy, segmentation, and documented architecture, defining the standards that Cybersecurity enforces, and serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex networking and systems issues.
• Ideal Candidates
• Have proven experience designing and operating enterprise networks (switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls, wireless, and VPN), with 7+ years in IT infrastructure and at least 3 in a senior or lead capacity.
• Have deep systems knowledge across identity/directory services, backup and recovery, DNS, and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Have experience with physical security infrastructure, including access control/badging and camera systems, and the networks that support them.
• Demonstrate strong ownership and sound judgment under pressure, communicating with clarity and respect and challenging thoughtfully when it matters.
• Have a track record of documenting infrastructure clearly and designing to root cause rather than leaving recurring problems in place.
• Nice to have:
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, network or security specializations).
• Experience supporting a lab, manufacturing, or hardware/robotics environment, including OT/IoT networking considerations.
• Familiarity with automation and infrastructure-as-code, and structured IT governance or change management processes.
• A Final Note:
• If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t check every box. At Mytra, we build bots, but we hire humans. We value thoughtful challengers who communicate with clarity and respect, and we’re lifelong learners committed to getting better every day. We move fast, learn faster, and show up for each other under pressure. The best outcomes come from diverse perspectives working together to build something meaningful and built to last
• Benefits Include:
• Competitive compensation and equity grants at a high-growth company backed by top-tier VCs
• Fully subsidized health coverage, including medical (baseline plans), dental, and vision for employees and dependents
• 401(k) plans and employer-subsidized life insurance
• Fully subsidized lunch and snacks at HQ—we eat and share stories together at the “long” table
• Generous PTO and company-paid holidays, including one week over the winter break so everyone can recharge together
• Voluntary pet insurance, Voluntary Life Insurance, Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity
• Fully subsidized tax advisory services and education to help you understand your equity
• Commuter benefits, including a up to $150 monthly commuter benefit
• Lively, modern combined office and lab space where we rapidly iterate through design, build, and test phases
• Fully equipped onsite gym and showers at headquarters
• Pay Notice
• Compensation for this position will be set based on the candidate's experience level and location. The posted salary band is applicable only to the San Francisco Bay Area and is subject to change.

This role requires on-site presence at our Brisbane, CA headquarters, for close collaboration with the other teams.
