Supply Technician Senior - Main Operating Room

Job Summary:
Manages and maintains software replenishment systems. Work collaboratively with staff to assure department expectations are achieved while optimizing inventory and par levels. To perform the services of stocking, distribution of all incoming supplies and equipment, and managing inventory.

Education & Experience
Education and Experience Required:
High School diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience stocking, loading, replenishing or distributing inventory.

Certifications, Licenses, or Registration required:
N/A

Preferred Qualifications:
Hospital supply work experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computer skills and the ability to work with related software programs. Must have Microsoft knowledge and be able to navigate through spreadsheets/databases. Knowledge of shipping, receiving, stocking, and equipment and inventory management methods and procedures. Ability to review inventory utilization analysis reports. Interpersonal skills to interact with staff and upper-level management. Communications skills, verbal and written. Ability to work in a team environment.

Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, occasional exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, occasional work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, frequent bending, occasional lifting and carrying more than 100 pounds, occasional crawling, frequent crouching/stooping, occasional kneeling, frequent pushing/pulling, frequent reaching, occasional sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and frequent walking (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more).
