Assistant Professor of Instruction, Digital Innovation, Film and Television Program ‌
The Department of Communication at Xavier University invites application for a full-time non-tenure track position as Assistant/Associate Professor of Instruction beginning Fall 2027, in the Digital Innovation, Film and Television Program (DIFT). The DIFT program cultivates students to become responsible, adaptable, and innovative leaders in a complex and rapidly converging digital environment. With a concentration on digital media production and the art of visual storytelling, DIFT endeavors to prepare students through hands on learning, cross-disciplinary study, team building, and community engagement. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiple areas and will be equipped to teach a variety of production, writing, and theory courses, depending on need and expertise. Xavier’s DIFT program is committed to social justice and integrating this philosophy in courses. Evidence of college level teaching is desirable as well as significant professional work in the field of digital film and television production.
