The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.

Position Summary:
The Staff Family Medicine Physician shall be committed to contributing to the Mission of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation, “to achieve the greatest possible improvement in the health status of the people of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region of Alaska.” They are responsible for providing primary care services to ambulatory patients in the outpatient and village clinic settings. They will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality care, serve as a resource person when the situation requires, and apply age specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care. The Staff Physician is an employee working under the supervision of the Medical Director who is, in turn, supervised by the Primary Care Administrator.
