About This Position

Austin Human Resources is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Intelligence Consultant to join our Talent Acquisition team. This position combines data analysis, Workday Recruiting expertise, and business process improvement to strengthen hiring operations and inform recruitment strategy.
The consultant will develop reports and dashboards using current and legacy applicant tracking data, advise recruiters and hiring managers on complex system issues, and help configure and enhance Workday Recruiting business processes. Working with system teams and external service providers, this role will translate operational needs into practical solutions, align recruiting procedures with City policies, and use labor market information and sourcing tools to support targeted recruitment efforts.

Under general supervision, is responsible for utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) tools to help business teams maintain and drive improvement in business results.

Austin Human Resources is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Intelligence Consultant to join our Talent Acquisition Division. This is an opportunity to turn data into actionable insights, strengthen recruiting technology, and improve the processes that help the City of Austin attract and hire talent across a wide range of public service careers.

The Talent Acquisition Division supports citywide hiring, including executive recruitment, Workday Recruiting and legacy system needs, employment eligibility, and unemployment claims administration. This position will help advance that work by developing reports and dashboards, tracking key performance indicators and recruiting metrics, resolving complex system issues, and partnering on enhancements to recruiting tools and business processes. We are looking for someone who can connect technology, data, and operational needs to support informed decisions and a more effective hiring experience.

Annual Salary Range: $75,950–$95,700 (midpoint)

Days and Hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Hours may vary based on operational needs. Alternative schedules and remote work/teleworking options are available; however, this position requires working in the office at least 40% of each workweek. Remote work/teleworking options are available upon successful completion of the standard probationary period, subject to operational needs and supervisory approval.
