Job Title: Nurse Practitioner- Per Diem
Department: Student Health and Counseling (SHAC)
Division: Division of Student Life

Carleton College invites applicants to the position of Per Diem Nurse Practitioner, which is an intermittent, hourly-paid, non-benefit earning staff position. Clinic hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, during the academic terms (Mid-September to Late-November, Early-January to Late-March, Early-April to Early-June).

Position Overview:
The position provides primary health care to college students (17-24 year olds) independently, within a collaborative team environment of Advance Practice Registered Nurses, Psychologists/Counselors, Psychiatric consultant and Dietitian. The APRN provides clinical services and preventative care to Carleton students, via scheduled individual appointments, telephone triage, and some walk-in care. Works closely with other members of Student Health and Counseling in the ongoing development of integrated physical and mental health services. Reports to Director of Student Health and Counseling.

Compensation:
The expected hourly rate for this position is between $60- $68, depending upon qualifications. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.

Required:

Education:
Master's degree (or higher) in Nursing with preparation for the advanced practice role

Board Certification:
Must be Board Certified by a national nurse certification organization acceptable to the Minnesota Board of Nursing and appropriate for primary care of undergraduate students

Licensure:
Must hold current Minnesota RN and APRN licenses in good standing

Must have the ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions, operations, safety procedures, and hazardous labels.
