Overview

Fortune is seeking an Art Director to serve as the day-to-day steward of Fortune magazine's visual identity. Reporting to the Executive Creative Director, this person will own the look and feel of every print issue, from covers and feature packages to recurring sections and signature franchise issues like the Fortune 500, Most Powerful Women and 40 Under 40.

The Art Director will be a hands-on designer and a careful custodian of the magazine's design system. They'll work closely with editors, the photo team and production to bring stories to the page on deadline, and help carry magazine work into its digital and social extensions so the brand stays cohesive wherever readers find it. The role also offers room to grow into other areas of Fortune's creative work, including video, live events and brand initiatives.

Compensation: $145,000-$160,000 total compensation

Location: NYC; hybrid flexibility
