Your Role and Impact
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of manufacturing equipment and facility electrical systems. You will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and minimize downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role offers the opportunity to apply your electrical expertise to support production, improve equipment effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that contribute directly to operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, controls, and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical failures in manufacturing equipment, CNC machines, PLC-controlled systems, and facility controls.
- Maintain and repair welding equipment, heat treatment furnaces, rod ovens, and associated electrical components.
- Test and diagnose electrical systems using specialized diagnostic tools, including voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to perform repairs and installations.
- Support preventive and autonomous maintenance programs to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reduce downtime.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, equipment history, and parts usage to support compliance and reliability initiatives.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify opportunities for equipment improvements and increased reliability.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Valid Electrician License or equivalent electrical certification.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing PLC-controlled equipment, CNC machines, and industrial electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in heavy manufacturing or industrial production environments.
- Experience maintaining welding equipment, heat treatment furnaces, and related manufacturing machinery.
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on minimizing equipment downtime.
- Ability to work various shifts and effectively support production operations.
- Strong verbal, written, and computer communication skills.
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds and perform work in an industrial environment.
