Your Role and Impact
As an NDT Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and integrity of Flowserve products through the application of non-destructive testing techniques. You will inspect components, materials, and equipment to verify compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and quality specifications while helping prevent defects from reaching customers.
This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced inspection technologies, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and directly support product quality and operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Visual Testing (VT).
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain NDT equipment to ensure accurate, reliable, and repeatable inspection results.
- Evaluate inspection results to identify defects, discontinuities, and non-conformances that may impact product performance or integrity.
- Document inspection findings, test results, and quality records accurately in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and applicable codes and standards to execute inspections effectively.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities related to quality and inspection findings.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements governing NDT processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, A3, Daily Management, and other operational excellence methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods including MT, PT, and RT.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASNT Level II certification or equivalent certification in one or more NDT methods.
- Experience or certification in Visual Testing (VT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- 2-3 years of experience in NDT, quality inspection, or a related manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with SNT-TC-1A, ISO 9712, IRRSP, and other applicable NDT standards.
- Technical training or specialized certification in non-destructive testing methods.
- Experience working in heavy industrial, engineered product, or manufacturing environments.
