- SUMMARY: The Purpose of the Hatchery Service person is to be responsible for transporting, grading, counting and stacking boxes of chicks at the hatchery.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for inspecting chicks and removing dead or cull chicks.
- Responsible for counting chicks using the automatic counter and placing chicks into clean chick boxes.
- Must stack boxes of chicks and push stacked boxes of chicks to load-out area and place them onto the trucks for delivery.
- Responsible for general hatchery cleaning and sanitizing.
- Responsible for any other duties as deemed necessary by the manager.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Required
- · High school diploma or equivalent.
- · Must have strong communication skills.
- · Must be open to working a variable shift when needed.
