Job Duties:
Responsible for a variety of technical duties necessary to the acquisition of echocardiographic examinations and maintenance of the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory.

Cardiac sonographers independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in the completion of various cardiac imaging procedures. Sonographers prepare, administer and document activities related to ultrasound enhancing agents in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy.

Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Education:
Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Related Field of Study (Required), Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred)
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years-Related work experience (Required), Minimum of 1 year-Managerial/Supervisory (Preferred)
Certification(s) and License(s):
Adult Echocardiography - ARDMS or CCI, Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Sonography (S) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
