OVERVIEW
The transport paramedic is responsible for providing high-quality critical care and transportation of critically ill or injured patients to the appropriate medical facilities utilizing standards and guidelines established by Mercyhealth Medical Director(s). The transport paramedic is a key member of the critical and emergency medical care team and demonstrates the highest quality of emergency/critical care standards of practice and commitment to safety.

Schedule : 3 x 12 hour shifts, weekend and holiday rotation
Shift : Rotation of both day and night shifts

For those driving Mercyhealth vehicles:
Maintain a valid driver's license.
Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.
For those driving their personal vehicles:
Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of vehicle insurance when requested. Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.
Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/loud.
Occupational Exposure: Category A - All partners in the specified job classification have occupational exposure.

Neonate (birth – 28 days)
Infant (29 days – less than 1 year)
Pediatric (1 year – 12 years)
Adolescents (13 years – 17 years)
Adult (18 years – 64 years)
Geriatric (65 years and older)

SUPERVISES
When functioning in the ambulance, acts in a supervisory position when assigned as Crew Chief of the ambulance as outlined with the respective roles and responsibilities of the position

PAY RANGE:

$29.41 - $44.11
