Work Schedule:
Onsite – Buffalo, NY Our Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Supply Chain Program Manager to lead and execute strategic supply-chain initiatives across assigned military and legacy aircraft programs. This role drives New Product Introduction (NPI) strategy from drawing inspection through PO placement and delivery, resolves complex cross-functional supply-chain challenges, and reports program status and financial impacts to the site. You will serve as the primary communication link between Military program teams and East Aurora Site Leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering); an advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: • At least 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, or program/project management in a relevant industry.
- Experience in technical leadership roles, particularly related to electronic components, is highly desirable.
- Skills and Abilities: • Business acumen and ability to resolve customer problems.
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 5Y, 8D); Six Sigma/Lean training is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of business systems, policies, processes, and value streams.
- Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple functions and teams.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
- Ability to read drawings and problem solve with suppliers on technical issues.
- Knowledge: • Experience with contractual requirements (e.g., FAR/DFAR, REACH, AEO, Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements, Import/Export regulations, EAR, ITAR).
Responsibilities:
- Program/Project Management: • Utilize best practice project management tools and processes
- Lead strategic supply‑chain initiatives that set priorities and goals aligned with company objectives
- Manage quality, technical, schedule, and cost requirements
- Drive phase readiness to support successful funding transitions.
- Delivery Management: • Lead supplier delivery performance for assigned programs, driving accountability and timely execution to meet Moog production needs and customer delivery requirements.
- Streamline supply chain and operational communications to sustain workflow and accelerate issue resolution.
- Develop and implement creative solutions for complex supply‐chain issues by collaborating across functions and business units
- Monitor and manage supply chain risks
- Customer Proposals: • Lead customer proposals for new business in support of legacy business
- Work cross functionally with buyers and strategic sourcing to develop pricing models for business over the next 5-10 years
- Ensure packages are compliant before going out to the customer for submittal
- Meet customers aggressive timelines for submittal
- Cost Objectives • Managing the cost profiles for each program and ensure parts are being placed in accordance with budgets
- Develop and execute the material strategy throughout the program lifecycle, from bid phase through execution.
- Drive cost strategy for assigned programs
- Compliance: • Ensure programs/projects comply with Moog policies, processes, and contractual requirements (e.g., FAR, DFAR, offset requirements)
- Supplier Change Management: • Manage supplier notifications requiring customer notification or approval
- Work with contracts/program managers to ensure timely customer responses
- Lead and Support Supplier transitions, specific to program performance
- Stakeholder Collaboration: • Determine supply chain requirements and priorities
- Identify and drive improvements
- Resolve issues affecting supply chain performance
- Customer Communications: • Provide supply chain support for customer communications and meetings, including audits and assessments
- Support customer audits/fact finds
- Travel: • Willingness to travel (~10-15% of the time)

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $115,000.00–$155,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
