Description of Work
Broughton Hospital is seeking a full-time second shift Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will provide technical pharmacy services by accurately processing and preparing physicians’ medication orders in both pharmacy and outpatient clinic settings. Responsibilities include supporting medication distribution, maintaining and troubleshooting pharmacy automation systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. All work is performed under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

Work Schedule is 12 noon to 9pm weekdays with rotating weekends and holidays from 8am to 4pm

ABOUT THE FACILIITY:

Broughton Hospital is one of the three regional psychiatric hospitals with statutory responsibility for operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). With the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, we provide help and support to North Carolinians, and their families, experiencing mental illness. Our hospital serves the western thirty-seven (37) counties of North Carolina, as part of the state's system of care and treatment for persons with mental illness.

Positions in the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities are subject to pre-employment drug testing and criminal record background checks. Minimum Education and Experience

Completion of an accredited nine-month Pharmacy Technician program;
OR
High school diploma or General Educational Development diploma and one year of pharmacy-related experience;

an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Some positions may require certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
