Description of Work
The Paralegal II position provides legal, operational, and administrative support to the Office of General Counsel attorneys. This position performs substantive legal work under the direction of licensed attorneys, including legal research, drafting and review of legal documents, litigation and administrative hearing support, records management, subpoena coordination, regulatory analysis, and legal operations support. The position serves as a key liaison among the Office of General Counsel, the North Carolina Department of Justice, Department divisions, and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient management of legal matters affecting agency operations.

Salary Grande Range: $57,606.00 - $86,409.00
Recruitment Range: $57,606.00 - $72,008.00

Graduation from an appropriately accredited institution for paralegal training and two years of experience as a paralegal

Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of substantive paralegal experience;

High school or General Education Development (GED) diploma and six years of paralegal experience performing delegated, substantive legal work
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience
