Description of Work
This position is responsible for serving as an Assistant to the Director of Medical Services. This position will include both administrative and clinical duties and will also involve the provision of medical care to assigned patients. This position will also function as back up supervising physician to multiple Medical Services physician extenders. This position will take home call (backing up an on-site provider) in the attending Medical Service physician call rotation.
This position will be tasked with learning the duties and responsibilities of the Director role. Will meet with Director regularly and begin to attend some Director level meetings. Will review cases and provide teaching and clinical support at 8am morning meeting. Will review documentation and clinical decision making of medical service providers (quality monitoring activities). Will function as a key clinical supervisor of the overall quality of medical care the service is providing.

Salary Range: $170,121-340,243

This position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 with the exception of Articles 6 and 7. State Human Resources Act (GS 126)

This Position Is Designated as Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

*Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus
To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate.
