As a service of the NWACC Library and under the direction of the Outreach Librarian, peer tutors support student learning and academic success in specific subject areas and courses. Tutoring is conducted individually and in small groups, face-to-face in Benton and Washington County locations and online, following established tutoring standards and best practices. Tutors become familiar with the curriculum, course materials, and assignments, and they model effective study skills and demonstrate use of technology, software, and equipment when applicable. Work schedule: up to 19 hours per week Monday through Saturday. Each semester, the schedule is determined by need at both Benton County and Washington County locations for regular weekly hours. Online appointments are conducted on campus.

Rate of Pay $14.00 per Hour

Infrequently, exposure to louder noise levels or physical activities, such as moving lightweight materials, might be required.
