Equity & Policy Health Care Interpreter Policy Strategist (OPA4) The primary purpose of the Health Care Interpreter Policy Strategist is to provide statewide leadership, policy development, strategic planning, and program oversight for Oregon’s Health Care Interpreter (HCI) Program. This position leads initiatives that strengthen program integrity, improve access to healthcare interpreting services for Medicaid members and other individuals with limited English proficiency, enhance workforce and data systems, and support compliance with state and federal requirements. The role serves as a trusted advisor to agency leadership and collaborates with healthcare providers, Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs), state and local partners, and community organizations to develop policies, implement system improvements, and advance equitable access to culturally and linguistically responsive healthcare services throughout Oregon.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be reflected in your application for consideration.

A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and five years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work .

OR;

Any combination of experience and education equivalent to eight years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.
