Opportunity Awaits, Apply Today! – Medical Transportation Policy & Program Coordinator (Operations and Policy Analyst 1)
The Medicaid Division is responsible for the design, development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of publicly funded Medicaid programs and related health programs, which includes the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), Healthier Oregon, the OHP-Bridge Program, and initiatives under 1115 demonstration waivers, state plan authorities, and 1915 home and community-based services waivers.

Medicaid Provider Network & Workforce Development Policy unit provides subject matter expertise and FFS program leadership. For these programs, the Hospital & Professional Services Policy subunits write administrative rules (OAR), directs coverage policy, directs provider enrollment and provider billing policy, issues guidance, and guides rate setting.

The primary purpose of this position is to support transportation programs under the Oregon Health Plan (OHP). OHP covers emergency (ambulances) and non-emergency (regular rides) transportation to help members get to eligible healthcare services and appointments. This position works closely with the transportation program leads and leadership to make updates to program administrative rules, fee schedules, guidance documents, and the state’s claims processing system. This position also consults with partners, community members, and Tribes to gain their perspectives about OHPs transportation coverage. The work also includes monitoring program expenditures and outcomes, evaluating program impacts, and giving compliance feedback to transportation providers and contractors.

This position will factor in the perspectives of diverse populations most harmed by social injustice and inequities including communities of color, immigrant groups, the disability and neurodivergent communities, veterans, older adults, individuals identifying as LGBTQIA+ and other communities that have been traditionally marginalized.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be reflected in your application for consideration.
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills;
OR
Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
