We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Electrical Specialist with our Ingleside Plant located in Gregory, Texas.

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority. Assigns daily I/E work activities to ensure plant operating continuity.
• Assumes responsibility for operation and maintenance of the electrical distribution system to ensure supply of electricity to OxyChem, and external sales at Ingleside.
• Analyzes daily maintenance and operation of the Ingleside site and initiates corrective actions.
• Maintains high safety and housekeeping standards. Administers OxyChem safety and housekeeping programs by implementing appropriate safety modules for high voltage areas.
• Schedules, plans and coordinates daily maintenance activities to minimize production loss, equipment damage, and overtime.
• Assist operations department to Control costs within budget, explain variances, and assists in preparation of annual budget.
• Assists in insurance inspections of electrical equipment related to insurance coverage.
• Schedules, coordinates, and executes annual maintenance outages.
• Assigns, directs, and evaluates maintenance employee training needs.
• Interface as necessary with other plant organizations (i.e., operations, stores, purchasing, management, safety, environmental, accounting) efficiently and effectively.
• Support plant quality system including continuous improvement process implement programs.
• Actively participate in plant wide training to support quality needs including I/E technician skills training, and procedural documentation.
• Integrate quality concepts throughout Ingleside operations with a focus on customer satisfaction and achieving preferred suppliers status.
• Support all safety and environmental programs, and Responsible Care guiding principles to insure the facilities operate in a manner that protects the environment and the health and safety of our employees at the public, and to insure the plant complies with all state and federal permits and regulations.
• Manage, maintain, and execute electrical PM and PDM of all site low, medium, and high voltage electrical distribution equipment including cabling, breakers, transformer, capacitor banks, rectifiers, and other related equipment from 138 kV to 480V. Provide immediate notification if warranted.
• Determine, establish, and maintain spare parts and equipment for electrical distribution system.
