Position Purpose:
The Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and safety of various RFTA facilities and capital assets, ensuring they remain in good working condition. This role involves maintaining bus maintenance facilities, transportation hubs, RFTA bus stops, employee housing, office buildings, and other facilities as directed. The position requires collaboration with other departments and is expected to operate with autonomy, demonstrating strong decision-making skills. Additionally, the position supports the Facilities Management team in upholding high standards of safety, functionality, and performance.

Working Conditions:
Position requires strenuous physical work. Heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 100 pounds and/or up to 50 pounds frequently. Works in a typical industrial environment that requires frequent bending, lifting and twisting in different positions to accomplish many tasks. Encounters exposure to moving equipment and vehicles, and related fumes and chemicals. Works in all weather conditions, at varied shifts, and on the roadways. May come in contact with bodily fluids on a regular basis. Works on a regular basis with hazardous and toxic materials while strictly adhering to all safety rules and regulations pertaining to their use, storage, and proper disposal. Personal protective equipment is provided and must be worn when appropriate.

RFTA has a Uniform Policy for the Facilities Maintenance team. Sr. Facilities Maintenance Tech is expected to adhere to this policy.

RFTA is 24/7 operation and Facilities Maintenance personnel may be required to work outside of their assigned shift.
