About the job

Position Highlights
Join a dedicated team committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging residential experience for RIT students. Residence Coordinators play a vital role in fostering student success by supporting residential communities, advising student leaders, responding to student concerns, and promoting personal growth and belonging within the residence halls.

This is an exciting opportunity for a student-centered professional who is passionate about leadership development, community building, and supporting college students through their residential experience. Residence Coordinators serve as key members of the Residence Life team, working collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and campus partners to create safe, vibrant, and inclusive living-learning environments.

Key responsibilities include supervising and developing Resident Advisors, managing residential operations, addressing student conduct and behavioral concerns, supporting crisis response efforts, implementing educational and community-building initiatives, and contributing to departmental projects that enhance the student experience.

Our Residence Coordinator roles are full-time, live-in positions that include year-round housing. Residence Coordinators are expected to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed to address student emergencies and community concerns.
