Job Description
Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist at Shriners Hospitals for Children provides comprehensive HR support, encompassing various functions to ensure a positive and productive work environment. This role is crucial in supporting our mission of providing exceptional care to children.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Engagement : A primary focus of this role, including supporting engagement initiatives, employee recognition, retention efforts, and activities that contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Regulatory and Compliance : A significant component of the role, particularly given Pennsylvania's regulatory requirements, and the joint commission requirements for hospitals.
- Onboarding and New Hire Orientation : Coordinating onboarding, orientation, and ensuring new employees have a positive and compliant onboarding experience.
- Offboarding and Employee Feedback : Coordinating offboarding processes and conducting stay and exit interviews to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Workers' Compensation, Leave of Absence Administration, Benefits Administration : Providing general administrative support, assisting with reporting, documentation, and coordination of claims. Serving as a general resource for employee questions related to leave processes and coordinating with the appropriate partners. Assisting employees with general benefits questions, enrollment processes, and connecting employees with the appropriate resources.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of human resources experience
- Computer proficiency and strong sense of confidentiality
- Above average written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- MS Office experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience working in a healthcare setting
- HR certification by SHRM or ASHHRA
- 
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
