YOU
The Tool and Die Maker Apprentice supports the New Tooling department’s journeymen and assists them in the construction and testing of progressive dies, machines die components and assists in making product prototypes.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Works closely with journeymen Tool & Die Makers and other apprentices in the building of progressive stamping dies. Assists with coordinating material and component orders and deliveries with project leads. (80%)

Reports to shop leads individual daily progress on all machining projects, die tryouts, and new die builds. Coordinates with other team members to accomplish tasks in a timely manner. (10%)

Receive training, mentorship, and guidance from Journeymen, Leads, and Machinists. Sets a strong example of safe work practices and helps ensure that others are working safely. (10%)

TRAVEL REQUIRED
This position requires domestic up to 0% of the time.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION
This full-time, in the office, non-exempt position is in Stockton, CA.

RELOCATION
Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY
$22.80 - $31.92 / hour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
