PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT OR NURSE PRACTITIONER — TRAUMA/ACUTE CARE SURGERY Long Beach, California · Level II Trauma Center · $180,000 Surgical Affiliates Management Group (SAMGI) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ High-volume trauma. Southern California. $180,000. SAMGI is seeking a full-time PA or NP to join a Trauma/Acute Care Surgery program at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital in Long Beach, California. Adult and pediatric patients, 12-hour shifts, and a collaborative surgical team on the Southern California coast. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ THE POSITION • Full-time PA or NP — Trauma/Acute Care Surgery • 170 shifts annually · 12-hour shifts • 112 day shifts / 58 night shifts • Level II Trauma Center · teaching hospital · adult and pediatric • $180,000 annual salary • SAMGI operational support — billing, credentialing, and admin handled ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT YOU'LL DO Inpatient & ICU • Trauma patient evaluation and management • Inpatient rounds and surgical consultations • ICU patient care and critical care management • Multidisciplinary care coordination Procedures & OR • Bedside procedures within scope of practice • Preoperative and perioperative care • OR assistance and surgical support • Post-operative follow-up • Post-op and post-discharge clinic twice weekly Day shifts are assigned to either Trauma or ACS service. Night shifts provide cross-coverage for both. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ QUALIFICATIONS • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program · PA-C or NP certification • NPs must hold RNFA certification • Current or eligible California PA or NP license • 1–2 years surgical experience preferred — trauma, ACS, general surgery, or critical care • OR and inpatient surgical experience preferred • Comfortable in a high-acuity, high-volume trauma environment • Eligible for hospital credentialing and privileges ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • $180,000 annual salary • Medical malpractice insurance with tail coverage • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, STD & LTD benefits • Employer-matched 401(k) • $2,500 annual CME allowance • Credentialing and onboarding support ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ THE LOCATION — LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA Long Beach sits at the edge of the Pacific — miles of waterfront, a vibrant downtown, and easy access to everything Southern California offers.
